Trip Itinerary?
I am getting more and more excited about this trip, but I have absolutely no idea what I will do while there. This is so totally unlike any trip I have taken in more than forty years of travel which has included Fiji, Iran, China, and ten independent trips to Mexico, most every country in Europe, most Caribbean Islands, not to mention much of Canada and the U.S. etc. I never have a solid itinerary (the closest was India), however this is totally NO plan. My friend in BC told me to be flexible, and I responded that flexible was my middle name.
BUT
Well, today he called and wanted to give me a heads up that we might be leaving in the very early morning, just a few hours after I arrive....maybe. We might be going to a native Indian pow wow (where he will be a vendor) and I will be an assistant!!!!!! I had been hoping to go to a pow wow with him and be part of the the whole thing, not just an observer. Looks as if that will happen, even though I opted not go during the big multi day ones in August. This old gal was not willing to take up that challenge.
He also informed me that four days before I leave his wife's cousin and niece will be arriving from Taiwan.
I have also been told me to bring my passport because we may go to the states for a couple of days.
Unfortunately my friend's wife will be arriving in B.C. two days after I leave. I am so very sorry for this.
In my next post I will talk about my background regarding trips to BC and my background with the friend I will be spending this time with. Remember these blogs are my way of recording my travel memories, life memories, and to give you an idea of the places I visit.
Yes, be flexible.
