The Thrangu Tibetan Monastery was much as I expected, although a lot more lavish than that of the Dalai Lama.  I spent quite a long time in this hall meditating.

Today, Saturday, we spent the afternoon on #5 Road in Richmond, a.k.a. the pathway to heaven.  It is where many many many churches and temples line the road.  I was most interested in three of them.  #1 was the Thrangu Tibetan Buddhist Monastery.  #2 was the Sikh Gurdwara.  #3 the International Buddhist Temple. We saw all three plus another small Buddhist temple.  Unfortunately there was a wedding going on at the Gurdwara this weekend, so I only took a quick peek inside (no photos).
